Enceladus (/ɛnˈsɛlədəs/; en-SEL-ə-dəs) is the sixth largest moon of Saturn, managed by the eponymous union. Once one of the most reflective bodies of the Solar System, covered in a layer of clean ice, Enceladus was vital to the colonization of Saturn's moons, providing water for the early colonists. Pock marked with disused mining facilities, the moon was redeveloped by SBSIST in the late 3700s to host biological matter production facilities. Partnering with CellRep, a biotech firm specializing in cloning techniques, Enceladus would branch out into producing designer pets, ectogenesis offspring, synthetic meats and vat-grown organs for Saturnian clientele in the early 3900s.

Security on Enceladus is extremely tight in lieu of the sensitive work undertaken by the staff as well as the legal scrutiny the facilities face from both IGSA and INTPOL. The rise of the Human Upliftment Army in the late 3900s prompted the need to contract in Axil Industries Marines to secure the key facilities from their predatory attacks. Allegedly further security is provided in the form an elite private paramilitary unit of clone soldiers known as the Spartoi Legion, but SBSIST and CellRep deny the existence of such a thing, citing it would be illegal under the IGSA constitution.

The surface of Enceladus is not habitable due to lack of a breathable atmosphere, −198 °C (−324 °F) average temperature and high exposure to radiation from Saturn, with an Interface Suit required to venture beyond the safety of the habitable domes. There are a handful of settlements on Enceladus beyond the gargantuan facilities that sprawl across the surface, primarily serving as residential areas for corporate employees.
