Kerberos is a small natural satellite of Pluto. Kerberos was mined off all valuable resources and hollowed out by the mid 28th Century. After that, the little moon was made into an immense gymnasium and athletic center for the Gorgon Family and the assorted elite of Pluto. That was until Alexander Gorgon attempted to sell Kerberos to Kuiper Minerals to further enrich himself. That led to demonstrations across Pluto and eventually, violence.

The Hellhounds were a splinter faction of the Psychopomps that were sick of their parent organization's inaction and wanted to finally take the fight to the Gorgon Family. In 3879, the Hellhounds would capture a Orca class tugboat, pilot it to Kerberos, and occupied the small moon in a form of protest against the Gorgons. The Hellhounds demanded that Plutonians be given a larger role in their own governance and the Gorgons buy back the moons they had sold to outsiders. Alexander Gorgon obviously rejected these terms, and they sent in their enforcers to destroy the Hellhounds. The Hellhounds repeatedly repulsed the enforcers, who proved ineffective against the militants. So, Alexander Gorgon decided to use weapons he had obtained from the Saturnians to stamp out the Hellhounds. Using nerve gas, Councilman Gorgon killed all the Hellhounds to a man.

After the incident with the Hellhounds, Alexander Gorgon reneged on his offer to sell Kerberos to Kuiper Minerals, and the small moon was left mostly unused for the next hundred years as the Gorgon Family waited for the situation on Pluto to calm down. Currently, the Gorgon Family has only recently started using the facilities on Kerberos again.
