Lowell Astraeus Zaems (born Earth equivalent: 2nd February 3971 CE, aged 34) is a Martian Federal Police officer and rare Earther immigrant who has for the past year been tasked with hunting down Estefan Behd and his Hatchet clique.

History[edit | edit source]

Lowell was born under the name Beance Astraeus Jaems to a family of working class New Manhattanite Earthers. When he was aged 11 his parents successfully applied for a permanent resettlement visa and moved to Mars. With his family chained to steady but low paying labouring jobs for the foreseeable future, Beance was nevertheless infatuated with what he saw as the idyllic Martian lifestyle, and sought to advance himself by serving in the Martian Federal Police. At age 20 he legally changed his name to the more patriotic Lowell, and enlisted in the Hellas Sea Academy, majoring in the default entry degree for police trainees, State and Federal Policing.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Far more politically aware than the average Martian, Lowell understands that while the ALIAS regime is more a gilded cage than a true utopia, to him it’s still the best humanity will ever get.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Lowell has medium-length, blonde hair and grey eyes. Though born with an Earther biology, Lowell had undergone extensive musculoskeletal bioengineering provided for him as part of the Martian integration program for long-term immigrants, which has adapted his body to the gravity of his new homeworld.
