–Deepak Chopra

Spiritual Science is a collection of disparate beliefs bound together by common origins that has a history of pseudoscientific and pseudohistorical themes.

History[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

The history of Spiritual Science is fractious and esoteric. This is largely thanks to the faith being wholly decentralized and lacking any real founder. However, the term was first used in the early 20th century referring to a multipurpose New Age Movement that had proliferated on the Internet. This religion would spread into space quickly and would take root particularly on Earth, Saturn and later Tranquility.

Spiritual Science would exist quietly for millennia as a belief system, rarely running into conflict with other religions with the exception of losing many to Atenism and DVYNE respectively during the rise of those religions on Saturn. The peace ended with the rise of the ALIAS regime on Mars when Spiritual Scientists were among the most persecuted of religions for their “retrograde superstition” and general reactionary mindset. This turned many Spiritual Scientists against ALIAS, a situation that has largely not been changed by time.

Current Era[edit | edit source]

In the current day, Spirit Science is still regarded with suspicion by many outsiders due to the superstitious nature of most of the practitioners and their critical attitude towards mainstream science and medicine. Nevertheless, the religion has persisted and Spirit Scientists are generally known as peaceful agreeable people aside from their rather fringe beliefs.

Structure[edit | edit source]

Spiritual Scientists have no centralized power structure, often communicating through forums on the Web or in yearly events. There is a sort of hierarchy regarding Spirit Science content creators, though these creators only have limited influence.

Membership[edit | edit source]

Spiritual Science had widespread influence across governed space, though it is most concentrated in the Solar System on Earth and Saturn. They particularly have a large minority presence on Saturn, with nearly ten percent of the population being Spiritual Scientists.
