Bakunin (Martian English: Baakunen) is a stateless planet (also known as LHS 1723 c) that is managed by Earther mining conglomerates. Its largest demographic is fly-in fly-out miners from nearby Proudhon. The planet is rich in valuable resources, giving enough incentive for its eventual colonisation by mining conglomerates. Much of the population of Bakunin are Earthers, with very few Proudhones there. Historically, Bakunin had Proudhone outposts, but they lacked any permanent settlements.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Habitability[edit | edit source]
As Bakunin orbits outside its parent star's habitable zone, it is wholly uninhabitable. Humans on the surface are required to wear Interface Suits to survive the high radiation levels. Due to its closeness to its star, Bakunin is also tidally locked.
