Guadalupe Hidalgo (Commonwealth English: Guada-Lupe Hedalgo) is one of the seventeen arcologies of the Commonwealth of Earth, and is regarded as the political successor of the former United States of Mexico even though there is no direction political connection between the two. Established under the auspices of New Manhattan, Guadalupe Hidalgo was created centuries after the other North American arcologies on top of the ancient ruins of Mexico City, and its mission was primarily to house the millions of Spanish-speaking "undocumented" in the wastes of Latin America that belonged in neither the North American arcologies nor Novo Brasil.
