Jump to navigationJump to searchThe LHS 1723 System (bearing the name of the ancient Luyten Half-Second Catalogue), colloquially known as the LHS or Elaches System , is an inhabited star system located 17.5 light-years from the Solar System located in the constellation Eridanus.

A red dwarf star (0.164 solar masses) of spectral type M4.0, LHS 1723 shines a dim dull red upon its satellite.
Planets[edit | edit source]
LHS 1723 is host to two close-orbiting planets with Earth-masses between 2.4 and 2.0, both tidally-locked and devoid of moons.
- Proudhon (LHS 1723 b) - A rocky planet tidally locked to its star with an atmosphere dominated by CO2 and water vapor settled by Saturnian anarchists. It has a mass of 2.02 M⊕.
- Bakunin (LHS 1723 c) - A cold, rocky planet tidally locked to its star that lacks an atmosphere, settled by mining conglomerates for ice mining. It has a mass of 2.31 M⊕.
