The Department of Napp (historically Napp's World) is the official political designation of the exoplanet Wolf 1061 d, which is governed by the Republic of Nova. It is the third and furthest planet of the Wolf 1061 system, and has an orbital period of about 217 days. It is a rocky super-Earth with an equilibrium temperature calculated to be around 118 K (−155 °C; −247 °F), with the vast amounts of water ice on its surface being vital for Novian terraforming efforts during the mid to late 3rd millennium.
Its colloquial name was given in honour of the first Chief Scientist aboard the Nova Generation Ship, Prof. Seamus Napp.
