Xin Xiwang (Xin Xiwang Chinese: 新希望 trans. "New Hope") is the leading arcology of the Commonwealth of Earth.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Like the other densely populated arcologies across the Commonwealth, Xin Xiwang is an arcology cluster arranged as a neat grid of currently twenty eight immense, four-sided, grey-coloured frustums, which contain its residential, business and light industrial sectors. To its north and south, set within two separate grids, are a twin complex of similarly-shaped, shorter, white-coloured superstructures, dedicated to heavy industry in the north, and agriculture in the south. Surrounding the arcology complex, walled off by a 1 kilometre exclusion zone, is a sprawling slum of working poor citizens and the undocumented, with living arrangements ranging from sealed concrete blocks to air-exposed scrap metal sheds.
