The Alpha Centauri System is a triple star system located about 4 light years away from Earth with a lone planet orbiting it. The system was one of the earliest explored by mankind, but it was soon left behind when its planet was found to be uninhabitable, though mining would take root there after a time. The system is more or less owned by a conglomerate that services miners.

  • Proxima Centauri b - Nicknamed Proxie B, a backwater mining planet rich in sulfur, iron and copper. The first extrasolar planet to be scouted by interstellar probes.
