Moses is an orbital shipyard and dry dock over Eden utilized by the Godly Republic of Eden to build its navy. Finished in 3977, Moses was built as part of the Sinai Project to build a space navy to defend Eden’s borders, realized and claimed.

History[edit | edit source]

The story of Moses goes back to the early 3900s with the beginnings of the Sinai Project. At that point, the Godly Republic’s navy was only just separating itself from its image as scrappy and under-supplied up against insurmountable enemies. Now, the Godly Republic finally had the resources to build their own ships and not depend on imported ships from Zhu Que. The Sinai Project spurred on the construction of Moses in the 3900s.

It took more than twenty years before Moses was ready to roll out its first naval vessel. From there, Moses and Nehushtan Spaceworks have manufactured dozens of ships for the Godly Republic of Eden Navy. The orbital shipyard employs millions of Edenites, and it continues to be a leading employer for the inhabitants of Eden. Nehushtan Spaceworks is in fact the largest corporation within the Godly Republic, and its Superintendent has some degree of influence within the government. There have worries recently that Moses' ability to manufacture and maintain more ships has almost reached its limits, but Nehushtan Spaceworks is confident for now that they can continue to operate as they have for the last thirty years.

Government[edit | edit source]

When it was established as an orbital shipyard, a state-owned corporation was created to manage Moses and the further production of naval ships for the Godly Republic. Nehushtan Spaceworks was quickly put in place, and the first Superintendent of Moses was installed. The Superintendent has been the supreme authority on Moses ever since.

Economy[edit | edit source]

Moses' economy is quite obviously based upon its industrial output for the Godly Republic of Eden Navy. Moses has been effective enough in that capacity so far, and it is an employer for millions of Edenites on the nearby moon. There is also a small service industry to tend to the needs of Moses' workers and permanent residents.
